Show Answer
Answer:
Correct Answer: A
Solution:
Amphibia is cold blooded or ectothermal animal as its body temperature does not remain constant but fluctuates with that of environment.
Thus it is called a poikilothermal animal.
In winter the temperature of the body activities decreases.
In this condition it cannot live more on the land, so it takes winter sleep or hibernation in the underground.
Similarly, during the summer it once again goes underground to sleep as its entire body activities are slowed down due to high temperature.
This is known as summer sleep.
