[RPET 1986]

Options:

A) (3, 4), (6, 8)

B) (4, 3), (6, 8)

C) (4, 3), (8, 6)

D) (3, 4), (8, 6)

Show Answer

Answer:

Correct Answer: A

Solution:

Let the point be (x, y) (i) Point B (x, y) divides AD in 1 : 2
$ \therefore x=\frac{0+9}{3}=3 $ and $ y=\frac{0+12}{3}=4 $ (ii) Now point C (x, y) divides AD in 2 : 1, Then $ x=\frac{0+18}{3}=6 $ and $ y=\frac{0+24}{3}=8 $ .
