Solution:

The equation of a line passing through (2, 2) and perpendicular to $ 3x+y=3 $ is $ y-2=\frac{1}{3}(x-2) $ or $ x-3y+4=0 $ . Putting $ x=0 $ in this equation, we obtain $ y=4/3 $ . So, y-intercept $ =4/3 $ .
