Solution:

Let the equation of line $ \frac{x}{a}+\frac{y}{b}=1 $ Given $ a=b $ . So, equation of line is $ x+y=a $ …..(i)Line passes through (2, 4)From equation (i), $ 2+4=a $ . So, $ a=6 $ . $ \therefore $ Equation of line $ x+y=6 $ i.e., $ x+y-6=0 $ .
