CEED Cutoff 2024, Check Category Wise & Previous Years Cutoffs, Shortlisting Criteria

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, will release the CEED 2024 cutoff for Part A on February 8. The cutoff will be available on the official website of IIT Bombay, ceed.iitb.ac.in. It will be presented as a mean and a standard deviation, calculated based on the performance of all the candidates who appeared for CEED Part A.

Based on previous year trends, the expected qualifying marks for CEED 2024 are approximately 25 marks for OPEN category candidates, 23 marks for OBC/EWS, and 13 marks for SC/ST/PWD category candidates. However, these figures are tentative and subject to change depending on the difficulty level of the exam and the number of applicants.

The IIT Bombay CEED cutoff 2024 will be determined by certain parameters. The cutoff mark for Part A is the minimum mark students need to secure to qualify for Part B. The CEED Part B cutoff 2024 will be evaluated separately. Only candidates who have qualified for Part A are eligible for admission to the M.Des program at IIT Bombay, Kanpur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Delhi, Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IISc Bangalore. The CEED 2024 cutoff is the minimum score required to move on to the next stage of the admission process. The cutoff varies based on the program, category, and institute. The CEED exam consists of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based test that assesses design aptitude and analytical skills. Part B is a pen-and-paper test that evaluates drawing, creativity, and communication skills. Only candidates who score above the Part A cutoff are considered for Part B evaluation. The final CEED score is calculated based on the marks obtained in Part B. The score is calculated by giving 25% weight to Part A marks and 75% weight to Part B marks. • For SC/ST category, a minimum of 13.65 marks or 5% of the total marks in Part A is required for shortlisting.
• For PwD category, a minimum of 13.65 marks or 5% of the total marks in Part A is required for shortlisting.

CEED Cutoff 2024 - Important Highlights

• The question paper for CEED 2024 has two parts - Part A and Part B.

CEED 2024 Shortlisting Criteria

There may be changes in the CEED shortlisting criteria for 2024 by IIT Bombay. The formula to calculate the CEED cutoff may be different from the previous year. The expected formula for determining the CEED shortlisting criteria is as follows: µ + (σ × 2) = δ, where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all candidates in Part-A of CEED 2024.

The µ and σ will be rounded off after the first decimal place. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will have to meet a relaxed cutoff mark, which will be:

• 0.9 for OBC-NCL
• 0.9 for EWS
• 0.5 for SC/ST
• 0.5 for PwD

The shortlisting criteria for CEED 2024 have not been announced yet by IIT Bombay, the conducting authority of CEED.
