Accommodation

These accommodations, known as ‘Amity Residences’, consist of apartments with three single rooms, each with an attached bathroom, and a common lounge area. The university purports to provide transportation services for its students. However, students have voiced concerns about the poor condition of the buses, frequent breakdowns, and safety issues, especially for female students. Other issues include the lack of regular buses, designated bus stops, and dependable bus drivers. Furthermore, students find the INR 55,000 fare for this service to be excessive.

In the field of Law, which has a course duration of 3 years, the number of students graduated, students placed, median salary (in INR), and those who opted for higher studies are significant factors to consider. The average total fee for BA LLB (Hons), B.Com LLB (Hons), and BBA LLB (Hons) is approximately INR 25,70,000. However, the Return on Investment (ROI) is disappointingly low at just 8.5%. Given the increasing popularity of these courses, it’s clear that the university needs to take prompt action to address this issue.

Management|Course Duration: 5 Years

In the field of management, with a course duration of 5 years, the placement rate is quite satisfactory at 87%. Out of 60 students who graduated, 47 secured jobs with a median salary of INR 4,80,000, while 6 opted for further studies. Amity University Gurgaon boasts a diverse student body from all over India and 15 other countries. According to the NIRF 2023 Report, the university has a balanced gender ratio with females making up 48% of the student population. Interestingly, the university seems to attract more students from outside Haryana, who make up 59% of the total student population.

The university has been serious about its anti-ragging policy, with no incidents reported since a major protest in 2012 following the tragic death of a female student. However, there have been some allegations of inappropriate behavior by security personnel that have not been reported.
