IISc Bangalore will announce the GATE 2024 cutoff marks for all 30 papers. The cutoff for GATE 2024 will be published along with the GATE results. Candidates who are appearing for the GATE exam in 2024 will be able to check the passing marks on the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The GATE cutoff marks are the minimum marks that candidates need to secure in order to qualify for the exam. The qualifying cutoff marks for GATE 2024 will vary for each exam paper. GATE Cutoff 2024- Category Wise CutOff Marks for IIT, NIT, IIIT

The GATE cutoff for IIT varies based on the category of the candidates. Candidates who score higher marks than the GATE passing marks in their respective categories will be eligible for admission to the M.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of GATE 2024. It is important to note that two types of cutoffs will be released for the GATE exam, namely the qualifying GATE 2024 cutoff and the admission cutoff GATE 2024. Candidates should understand the difference between qualifying and admission cutoffs.

GATE 2024 Qualifying Cutoff Vs GATE 2024 Admission Cutoff

It is important for students appearing in GATE to understand the difference between the GATE qualifying cutoff and the GATE admission cutoff for the year 2024.

GATE Qualifying Cutoff 2024:

The GATE 2024 qualifying cutoff refers to the minimum mark required by candidates to qualify for the exam. The qualifying cutoff marks for GATE 2024 will vary for each of the 30 subjects. Additionally, the qualifying cutoff for IIT and NIT admissions will also differ based on the categories of candidates. The conducting institute releases the GATE qualifying cutoff along with the declaration of the result.

GATE 2024 Admission Cutoff:

The GATE cutoff for admission in 2024 is the minimum qualifying mark required by candidates to secure admission in participating institutes. The admission cutoff for GATE 2024 will be announced by the respective institutes during the admission process.

Factors Determining GATE 2024 Cutoff:

The final GATE cutoff marks are determined by considering several factors, including the number of students who appeared for the exam, the number of vacant seats available, and the difficulty level of the exam.

GATE 2024 Opening & Closing Ranks:

The cutoff marks for IITs and NITs are released in the form of opening and closing ranks. After the GATE results are declared, IITs and NITs will initiate the MTech admission process separately. The application and interview process will follow.

Institutions will announce the opening and closing ranks for GATE. The GATE 2024 Qualifying Cutoff and Admission Cutoff will be released. Analyzing the qualifying GATE cutoffs for 2020 and 2019, it is evident that there have been changes in the cutoff scores. The official GATE result statistics reveal that only 18.8% of candidates qualified in the exam. Surprisingly, there have been significant reductions in some GATE cutoffs, while others have shown an increase. Mathematics is the only subject that has not witnessed any changes in the GATE cutoff.
