IPMAT 2024: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has announced the exam date for IPMAT 2024 on its official website. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 23, 2024 (Afternoon shift) in CBT mode. The registration process will begin in the first week of March 2024. The IPMAT exam will be conducted in 35 cities across the country. It consists of three sections - Quantitative ability (MCQs), Quantitative ability (short answer questions), and Verbal ability (MCQs). The duration of the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
What is IPMAT Exam?
The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to the Integrated Program in Management (IPM) offered by IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, and other management colleges in India. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can appear for the exam. The minimum qualification required is Class 10/ X/ SSC and Class 12/ XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate mark.

IPMAT 2024 Eligibility
Please make sure to check the eligibility criteria for IPMAT 2024 before applying. The criteria are set by IIM Indore. Here are the educational qualifications and age requirements for each category:
- General and NC-OBC Category: Minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/HSC or equivalent exams in 2021, 2022, and appearing in 2024.
- SC/ST and PWD (DA) Category: Minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/HSC or equivalent exams in 2021, 2022, and appearing in 2024.
- Age Limit: For general category candidates, the maximum age limit is 20 years as of August 1, 2024. SC/ST category candidates should not be older than 25 years.
To apply for IPMAT 2024, the application process will be conducted online. The application form will be available on the official website of IIM Indore. The process will start in the first week of March 2024 and candidates can fill out the form until the last week of April 2024. The application fee can be paid through net banking, credit card, debit card, or NEFT.

IPMAT 2024 Admit Card
IIM Indore will issue the admit card of IPMAT 2024 to candidates who have completed the application process. The IPMAT exam admit card can be downloaded online from the official website using login credentials. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the IPMAT hall ticket on the exam day. The admit card contains details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, exam date, and venue of the test, as well as exam day guidelines.
How to Download the IPMAT Admit Card:
- Go to the official website of IPMAT.
- Find and click the link called “Log in to fill/ edit/ view/ submit/Download Admit Card of IPMAT 2024 application form (For applicants who are already registered)”.
- Enter the “Application number/ User ID and Password” and click the submit button.
- Your appropriate IPMAT 2024 admit card will be downloaded.

IPMAT 2024 Result:
The authority will announce the IPMAT 2024 result online on the official website. Candidates can check their IPMAT exam 2024 result by using their login credentials. The result will be available in the form of a scorecard, which will include the overall and sectional scores of test-takers. Candidates who are shortlisted based on their IPMAT score will be called for further selection rounds of PI.
How to Check IPMAT Result 2024?
To check the IPMAT 2024 result, visit the official website of IIM Indore and go to the IPMAT section.
- Click on the “Results” button.
- Enter your IPMAT 2024 application form number.
- Enter the registered email ID or Date of Birth in DD/MM/YY format.
- Enter the Security Code/ Password.
- Click on the “Get Status” tab.
- The IPMAT 2024 result will be displayed. Download it and take two printouts.
Computation Process of IPMAT result 2024:
The formula used to compute the result/score of IPMAT 2024 is explained in the table below:

Note: Maximum and Minimum scores refer to the highest and lowest scores obtained by the candidates in each pool under the respective sections.
Qualification for IPMAT 2024 Cutoff
Candidates who meet the cutoff for IPMAT 2024 will be invited to participate in a Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. IIM Indore has provided the previous year’s cutoff for IPMAT across various categories, as shown below:

The selection process consists of two steps. In the first step, candidates must take the IPM Aptitude Test. Based on their overall score in the Aptitude Test (AT), candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage, which involves a Personal Interview (PI). The final merit list will be determined by the scores obtained in both stages. Successful candidates will be offered admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore and IIM Ranchi.
Please note that the selection process may vary for other IPMAT colleges. You can find more information on the official website of each respective institute. The weightage scheme for each stage of the selection process is as follows:
- Aptitude test score: 65% (Written test - Quantitative Ability section + Verbal Ability section)
- Personal interview: 35%
Additionally, there are reservation percentages for categories such as Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC-NCL, and PwD, which will be taken into consideration during the admission process.
