Kia Sonet and Seltos GTX Trim Launched – Prices Start at Rs 13.71 Lakh

Kia Motors has introduced new GTX trims for its popular Sonet and Seltos SUVs, adding a fresh Aurora Black Pearl color option alongside the exclusive Matte Graphite shade.

Kia Sonet GTX Trim

The Kia Sonet, a favorite in the sub-4m SUV category, has been updated with a new GTX trim. This new variant is priced starting at Rs 13.71 lakh (ex-showroom) and is positioned between the HTX+ and GTX+ trims. The GTX trim aims to offer a balanced mix of features from both the HTX+ and GTX+ trims.

Key safety features of the Sonet GTX include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a blindspot monitor, and front and rear parking sensors. For added comfort and convenience, the Sonet GTX comes with ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat with four-way adjustment, automatic headlights, LED fog lamps, a built-in air purifier, and a 10.25-inch fully digital infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.

The Sonet GTX is available in seven colors: Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Sparkling Silver, and Gravity Grey. The Sonet X Line now also includes the Aurora Black Pearl color. In terms of powertrains, the Sonet GTX offers a 120PS 1.0L turbo petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DCT and a 115PS 1.5L diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There are no manual transmission options.

Kia Seltos GTX Trim

Kia has also launched a new GTX trim for the Seltos compact SUV. Similar to the Sonet, the Seltos GTX is positioned between the HTX+ and GTX+ trims. This trim is available in two variants, each with different powertrain options: a 160PS 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT and a 115PS 1.5L diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Both variants of the Seltos GTX are priced at Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom). The GTX Turbo DCT variant is now the most affordable option in the Seltos lineup to feature the 1.5L turbo petrol engine and 7-speed DCT combination. The Seltos GTX is available in the following colors: Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, and Gravity Silver.

The Seltos GTX trim adds several features over the HTX+ trim, including 18-inch alloy wheels (compared to 17-inch wheels on the HTX+), and a Level-2 ADAS suite with 19 driver assistance features for enhanced safety. Other notable features include ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and LED lighting throughout. Like the Sonet X Line, the Seltos X Line now also comes in the Aurora Black Pearl shade.
