Karnataka Opposes New Criminal Laws; Considering State-Level Amendments to Modify Laws

Karnataka’s Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, HK Patil, has urged the Central government to delay the implementation of the new criminal laws. He emphasized that the State’s recommendations from last year should be taken into account before these laws are enforced.

During a press conference, Patil expressed significant concerns about the new laws that have come into effect. He pointed out that there are numerous issues within these three laws that need to be addressed. “We have serious reservations about these laws. We believe these issues can be fixed by making necessary amendments,” he stated.
