$ \begin{aligned} 2 \mathrm{HNO} _{3} & \longrightarrow \mathrm{N} _{2} \mathrm{O} _{5}+\mathrm{H} _{2} \mathrm{O} \\ \mathrm{P} _{4} \mathrm{O} _{10}+6 \mathrm{H} _{2} \mathrm{O} & \longrightarrow 4 \mathrm{H} _{3} \mathrm{PO} _{4} \end{aligned} $

(a) $\mathrm{P} _{4}+20 \mathrm{HNO} _{3} \longrightarrow 4 \mathrm{H} _{3} \mathrm{PO} _{4}+20 \mathrm{NO} _{2}+4 \mathrm{H} _{2} \mathrm{O}$

Thus, (a) is incorrect.

(b) $\mathrm{N} _{2} \mathrm{O} _{5}$ has no unpaired electron and is thus, diamagnetic thus, (b) is correct.
