Solution
NaOCl = haloform reaction on COCH$_3$ gives PhCH$_2$COO$^-$ (phenylacetate). SOCl$_2$ gives PhCH$_2$COCl. Aniline gives PhCH$_2$CONHPh (phenylacetanilide).
