Solution
$\text{NaNO}_2/\text{H}_3\text{O}^+$ converts $-\text{NH}_2$ to $-\text{OH}$, giving 5-hydroxypentanoic acid. Polymerisation gives polyester $-[\text{O}-(\text{CH}_2)_4-\overset{\text{O}}{\text{C}}]-_n$.
