Solution
trans-$[\text{NiBr}_2(\text{PPh}_3)_2]$ has Br atoms trans to each other with PPh$_3$ groups also trans in a square planar geometry. Meridional-$[\text{Co(NH}_3)_3(\text{NO}_2)_3]$ has the three identical ligands in a plane containing the metal center.
