The anodic half-cell of lead-acid battery is recharged using electricity of 0.05 Faraday. The amount of PbSO$_4$ electrolyzed in g during the process is: (Molar mass of PbSO$_4$ = 303 g mol$^{-1}$)

Solution

PbSO$_4 \rightarrow$ Pb$^{4+}$ + 2e$^-$. 2F for 303 g. 0.05F gives $\frac{0.05}{2} \times 303 = 7.6$ g.
