Chlorocyclohexane derivative $\xrightarrow{\text{EtONa}/\text{Heat}}$ X $\xrightarrow{\text{HBr}}$ Y

(3) A secondary bromide (Markovnikov addition)

Solution

EtONa causes elimination to give alkene (X), then HBr adds via Markovnikov rule to give the more substituted bromide (Y).
