A substituted cyclohexane $\xrightarrow{\text{Mo}_2\text{O}_3,\ 773\text{ K},\ 10\text{-}20\text{ atm}}$ ‘A’ major product

(2) Cyclohexene

(3) Toluene (with $\text{CH}_3$)

(4) Methylcyclohexane (with $\text{CH}_3$)

Solution

Aromatization reaction or hydroforming reaction. The substituted cyclohexane undergoes dehydrogenation/aromatization at 773 K, 10-20 atm with $\text{Mo}_2\text{O}_3$ catalyst to give toluene.
