Statement II: In the hydrogen economy, the energy is transmitted in the form of dihydrogen.

$\text{H}_2\text{O}_2$ can act as both oxidising and reducing agent in basic medium. (i) $2\text{Fe}^{2+} + \text{H}_2\text{O}_2 \to 2\text{Fe}^{3+} + 2\text{OH}^-$ (oxidising agent). (ii) $2\text{MnO}_4^- + 3\text{H}_2\text{O}_2 \to 2\text{MnO}_2 + 3\text{O}_2 + 2\text{H}_2\text{O} + 2\text{OH}^-$ (reducing agent). The basic principle of hydrogen economy is the transportation and storage of energy in the form of dihydrogen.
