JEE PYQ: Area Under Curves Question 27
Question 27 - 2019 (12 Apr Shift 1)
If the area (in sq. units) of the region ${(x, y) : y^2 \leq 4x,\ x + y \leq 1,\ x \geq 0,\ y \geq 0}$ is $a\sqrt{2} + b$, then $a - b$ is equal to:
(1) $\frac{10}{3}$
(2) 6
(3) $\frac{8}{3}$
(4) $-\frac{2}{3}$
Show Answer
Answer: (2) 6
Solution
$a = 8/3$, $b = -10/3$, so $a - b = 6$.
