JEE PYQ: Binomial Theorem Question 21
Question 21 - 2020 (03 Sep Shift 2)
If the term independent of $x$ in the expansion of $\left(\frac{3}{2}x^2 - \frac{1}{3x}\right)^9$ is $k$, then $18k$ is equal to:
(1) 5 (2) 9 (3) 7 (4) 11
Show Answer
Answer: (3)
Solution
$r = 6$: $T_7 = 84 \cdot \frac{27}{8} \cdot \frac{1}{729} = \frac{7}{18}$. $18k = 7$.
