The velocities at P and Q are respectively $v\hat{i}$ and $-2v\hat{j}$. Then which of the following statements (A, B, C, D) are the correct?

(1) (A), (C), (D)

(2) (B), (C), (D)

(3) (A), (B), (C)

Solution

(A), (B), (C) are correct. (D) is wrong since $|\Delta L| = 3mva \neq 2mva$.
