(b) Protein digestion starts in the stomach with the action of enzyme pepsin. In the duodenum it is performed by the action of trypsin, chymotrypsin & carboxypeptidases (from pancreatic juice). Aminopeptidases & dipeptidases, enterokinase act in jejunum and it ends in the ileum.
