Cockroach Morphology Adults cockroaches are about 34-53 mm long with wings -Body divided into head, thorax and abdomen -Body divisible into segments and some segments -segment fuses in adult stages -Body is covered by hard chitinous exoskeleton -Exoskeleton of chitin plates occurred in each segment -Chitin plate called sclerite Sclerites joined each other by membrane called articular membrane -Sclerites of dorsal side- tergum or tergite -Sclerites of lateral side - pleura or pleuritis
