The coefficient of performance of a refrigerator is given by the equation:

COP = 1 - (T2 / T1)

where:

  • COP is the coefficient of performance
  • T2 is the temperature inside the refrigerator
  • T1 is the temperature outside the refrigerator

In this problem, we have:

  • COP = 5
  • T2 = 273 K
