Testosterone is a steroid hormone secreted by the gonads. It is also secreted by an endocrine gland. 2. Thyroxine is produced by the thyroid gland. Prolactin, Insulin, and Growth hormone are all produced by the pituitary gland. 3. Insulin is secreted by the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans. Glucagon is secreted by the alpha cells of the islets of Langerhans. Somatostatin and Vasopressin are secreted by the delta cells and the pituitary gland, respectively. 4. Progesterone is secreted in large amounts in females during pregnancy. Insulin, Glucagon, and Oxytocin are all secreted in smaller amounts. 5. Thymosin is a cytokine, not a hormone. Epinephrine, Thyroxine, and Testosterone are all hormones.
