Alcohols And Ethers Result Question 46
46. AAn organic compound $P$ having the molecular formula $\mathrm{C}5 \mathrm{H}{10} \mathrm{O}$ when treated with dil $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{SO}_4$ gives two compounds, $Q$ and $R$ both gives positive iodoform test. The reaction of $\mathrm{C}5 \mathrm{H}{10} \mathrm{O}$ with dil, $\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{SO}_4$ gives reaction $10^{15}$ times faster than ethylene. Identify organic compound of $Q$ and $R$. Give the reason for the extra stability of $P$.
