(i) Methane does not react with chlorine in the dark.
(ii) Propene reacts with $HBr$ to give isopropyl bromide but does not give $n$-propyl bromide.

- (i) Free radical chlorination of alkane require energy which is supplied either in the form of heat or radiation.
(ii) Addition of $HBr$ proceeds through carbocation intermediates.
